In-service dates for Future Lynx are 2013 for the British Army and 2014 for the Royal Navy. ![]() The British Army's Battlefield Reconnaissance Helicopters (BRH) and the Royal Navy's Surface Combatant Maritime Rotorcraft (SCMR), Future Lynx's new airframes, will utilize L-3 WESCAM's long-range electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) technology to support maritime, battlefield reconnaissance, and combat missions. System deliveries are slated to begin late in 2009 and will continue through 2014. L-3 Communications' WESCAM (L-3 WESCAM) subsidiary has been selected by Agusta Westland to provide 56 MX-15Di turrets as the Electro-Optical Laser Designator system for the United Kingdom's Future Lynx program.
